Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best famous for her character House in the Fox Medical drama House. In a very strict Jewish childhood the actress was able to move from Wayne in the state of Wayne to New York City when she was just 18 years old to go to the Tisch School of Arts. Her performance quickly made her a part of the New York club scene. The performances she gave were so good that even local media took notice. Then, she used her experience and fame, and her own experience to create and present a program called Positive Me. Her first gig was with MTV as anchor of Awake on the Wild Side shortly after. When Awake on the Wild Side was no longer being aired, she began acting in films and on television, initially in brief role. In time, her experience as an actor increased.
